There’s a strong trend for major brands to reissue their bestsellers and Stella McCartney is on board with news that the label is relaunching its Miracle Dress, known for its contouring panels that “simultaneously flatter and accentuate feminine silhouettes”.

Originally launched for the winter 2011 collection, it was worn by Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Liv Tyler, Penelope Cruz, Alicia Keys and many more.

And the company said, “bringing the Miracle Dress to a new generation of Stella women, award-winning actor Sarah Snook recently wore the look for the Ryder bag campaign”.

Originally called the Octavia, it was dubbed the Miracle Dress by the media due to its impact on its wearer’s figures.

That came courtesy of its hourglass colour blocking, “with barely visible sides forcing the eye to focus on contrasting front and back panels”.

Its re-edition appears as part of the spring 2025 collection, and will be available in red, black and white, modernised by being made from a light forest-friendly viscose yarn – a traceable wood pulp-based fibre sourced from sustainably-managed forests.

It will be available in the Stella McCartney boutique, online at stellamccartney.com and in selected retailers globally from January.
