Quiz launches Olivia Bowen party edit, PLT unveils Indiyah Polack party offer
October 26, 2023
Two major mass-market names have unveiled celebrity collections with an eye on the upcoming Christmas party season with Quiz launching an Olivia Bowen party wear edit and Boohoo Group’s PrettyLittleThing a collection with brand ambassador Indiyah Polack.
It comes as predictions suggest it will be a difficult festive season for the fashion sector and studies show many consumers preparing to cut back on discretionary items.
That means retailers have to pull out all the stops to focus attention on their seasonal party offers and link-ups with popular celebs is one way to do that.
Quiz said its new edit is “a collection of sophistication, sequins and sparkle, edited by Olivia Bowen”.
There are 20 looks curated by the media personality who shot to fame on the second season of Love Island in 2016. Today she has over 3 million followers on Instagram so she’s clearly a key personality to partner with.
The edit features “timeless dresses and jumpsuits, colour sequins to make the collection sparkle and a nod to this season’s must have metallic trend,” we’re told.
As mentioned, sequins dominate the collection with short, full-length, and figure-hugging dresses, available in an array of colours, along with “statement disco sequin skirt co-ords in festive colourways, bright green and silver”.
There’s also a gold glitter sparkle three-piece suit with matching shorts and corset-style top, as well as black embellished trousers with matching crop top and blazer, a white tailored trouser suit, pink metallic skirt and biker jacket duo, plus silver metallic trousers.
Prices start at £22.99, rising to £89.99.
Meanwhile, PLT’s latest Indiyah Polack collection has been designed by the TV personality and content creator and follows a festival-inspired collection they launched together in the summer. That was the first collection they'd co-created.
Now the new offer features trend-led party pieces including white faux fur items, lace co-ords, metallic detailing, and staple figure-flattering designs with diamanté crosses.
The focus is less of an all-out sparkle-fest than the Quiz offer, which makes it more adaptable for general socialising too and Polack describes it all as a “party spin on streetwear”.
Prices go from £12 to £58.
