David Beckham and his associate Simon Fuller – a long-standing advisor of the Beckham family and former Spice Girls manager - have signed a joint-venture with Global Brands.
The entity that groups together all of the brands' activities and licenses held by Hong Kong-based company Li&Fung, has said that this new co-company is destined to develop the "Beckham" brand to new categories of products.
And although the group - which holds some 350 licenses, including Quiksilver, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Calvin Klein, Izod, Nautica and Coach - hasn't been more specific, we may soon be seeing a ready-to-wear men's line.
Indeed, a few months ago Women’s Wear Daily reported that David Beckham was in talks with several groups, including Li&Fung, for the development of a sportwear-oriented clothing line.
David Beckham has already created an underwear line for H&M in the past and notably collaborated with Adidas and Belstaff.
